We care.
We compost.
Our vision is to empower people and
preserve the planet.
KC Can Compost is an innovative nonprofit enterprise committed to the transformation of Kansas City’s social and environmental landscapes.
We not only collect food scraps and divert it from the landfill for composting but also educate and train people struggling to overcome barriers to employment for work in green industry jobs. Two goods, one solution.
Organizations like The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, and local restaurants like Bay Boy are joining us to make a more sustainable Kansas City.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE
"We had never composted before but KC Can made it easy. Our customers love it and we know we are creating jobs at the same time. It’s a no brainer.”
