What’s Compostable?
You can compost a lot more than just fruit and veggie scraps!
Here’s what you can toss into our orange cans:
✔ Food Scraps
Fruit & veggie peels, leftovers, eggshells, coffee grounds, tea bags, meat, dairy, bread, and other food scraps
✔ Paper Products
Paper towels, napkins, uncoated paper plates, pizza boxes (no plastic liners)
✔ Other Organics
Floral bouquets, houseplants, hair clippings, pet fur, BPI-certified compostable products
✘ Not Accepted
Plastic, glass, aluminum, pet waste, yard waste, diapers, liquids, Styrofoam, twist ties

This kit sets you up for our recommended method of collecting food scraps at home. Use both the Countertop Can and the Classic Can to efficiently collect your kitchen food scraps.
The 1-Gallon Countertop Can fits nicely on the counter or under the sink and helps keep your food scraps tidy and secure. When it's full, simply tie off the liner and drop the bag into the 5-Gallon Classic Can. Repeat until your 5-gallon can is full, then make a single trip to drop off your compost.
This method is the tidiest, most-efficient way to collect and compost your kitchen food scraps! It's great for residential users of all kinds.

These BPI Certified compostable can liners are perfect for collecting kitchen scraps and other compostables. We recommend always sizing up for your container and securely tying off each bag before removing from the can.
The 2-Gallon liners work well with our Countertop Can.
The 8-Gallon liners work well with our Classic Can.
